VIWASE performs non-consultancy services such as technical assistance, project appraisal and evaluation, management capacity building and institution, economic-financial analysis and project efficiency evaluation for technical infrastructure projects in Vietnam. Typical services undertaken recently by VIWASE are:
- Institutional development for Vinh Phuc flood damage and water resource management project (WB), medium cities development project – Vinh, Phu Ly, Lao Cai cities (WB); Red river delta rural water supply and sanitation infrastructure project (WB)
- Appraisal and evaluation (technics, finance, environment, society) for urban infrastructure development project receiving ODA of Ministry of Finance; Technical assistance and training on capacity building for management of local development funds (WB)
- Project management support (appraisal, evaluation, financial management, procurement, construction supervision and training) for irrigational system management and agricultural irrigation work rehabilitation project
- Technical assistance, capacity building of management and institution under the northern mountainous sustainable development project (ADB)

- Technical assistance in Information-Education-Communication (IEC) under Vinh Phuc flood damage and water resource management project
- Consultancy services for capacity building and training under the Greater Mekong Delta Subregion Urban Corridor Development (GMS) II – Quang Ninh province subproject
